NUTRITION If you want to have results you will not have it with only training, the food is one of the most important things for an bodybuilder and you need a lot discipline to do it. I always follow a schedule for what I eat, the difference with preparing and off season are the sizes of my meals. I eat 7 meals a day, every meal has enough protein and some slow carbs. My proteine consists of: chicken breast, turkey, steaks, eggs, fish and protein powders. The carbs I eat are: rice, oatmeal, potatoes, pasta, and whole wheat bread. Every meal I put on the scale and know exactly what I eat. When you do this, you always can see what happens with the body and can go lower or higher when you needed. I don't eat carbs with every meal, but because carbs is energy for the body and I only want enough energy to train and to transport protein to the muscles. I train twice a day so I have some carbs in the morning and some carbs later in the afternoon, the last meals of the day are only chicken breast with salad and I take a small protein shake for the night. I also use whey protein with my oatmeal when I get up and after training, this is because the quick absorbion which is important after a night without food and after the training. For example if you eat chicken it takes a long time before the body transforms it into amino acids for the muscles, whey protein does that very fast, so you are recovering much better. I use also a lot supplements which I take from InShape Supplements. I use: whey isolate, Crea Blast, multi vitamin, BCAA, Glutamine, vitamin C, B complex, glucosamine complex for my joints and a blend of omega 3-6-9 fats. You have to understand that when you train like a beast you need to give your body enough to recover, recovering means growth!!! A lot people make mistakes using products only for strength in the gym.... in the gym you break down muscles, not build, building muscles starts soon as you are out of the gym and start recovering, so that's the point I focus to, the faster I recover the more I will grow. So remember: building a good body starts with the diet, so never fail with that!! |
